How to use ?

Empty a one-time use sachet into a bowl.

Add some water/curd/floral water for normal to oily skin and milk or honey for dry skin to make a smooth paste that has an evenly spreadable consistency. 

Apply on the skin and let dry.

When it’s just about to dry fully, wet your palms and wash off gently. Rinse off the powder completely and pat dry.  

Follow with your favourite VARAASA face oil!

Chebulic Myrobalan (Terminalia Chebula)

Chebulic Myrobalan is also known as Haritaki. Its primary properties include Rasayana (Rejuvenation), Vranahar (Skin Healing), Twaka Amayaghna (something that protects and cures from skin disease), Yogavahi (Adjuvant), Shothahar (Anti-inflammatory). It pacifies all three doshas and is also antibacterial.

Haritaki is also rich in antioxidants due to Gallic Acid (3, 4, 5-trihdroxybenzoic acid) which is one of the main endogenous phenolic acids found in T. chebula plant, which shows anti-inflammatory activity. A study also showed that the ethanol extract from the fruit of Haritaki exhibited significant inhibitory effect on cellular aging.

Symplocos Tree (Symplocos Racemosa)

Known as Lodhra, Symplocos Racemosa, is used in diseases related to Pitta Dosha. It has beautiful, yellow-coloured flowers, so it is also called Hemapushpa. In skincare, it is known for keeping acne at bay, keeping skin youthful and for its brightening effect.

According to Ayurvedic texts, it pacifies Kapha and Pitta Dosha, prevents the ailments related to blood tissue, reduces inflammation (Shothahrit) and eliminates toxins (Vishavidhvansana).

Studies also talk about its Antioxidant potential and its ability to protect from oxidative stress. A 2011 study that made use of Haritaki in cosmetic formulations showed significant reduction in dullness of complexion, increase in skin softness and skin glowing effect with no adverse effects when applied twice a day for 30 days.

Pomegranate (Punica Granatum)

As per Bhav Prakash Nighantu, it pacifies all three doshas, prevents bad body odour (Dugandhhar), promotes calm, smoothness and glow all over the skin.
Pomegranate has also been found to be a source of protection for skin diseases. Pomegranate pericarp (peel, rind) contains phenolic punicalagin; gallic acid (antioxidants) and other fatty acid; catechin, quercetin, rutin, and other flavones; flavanones; and anthocyanidins. 

Did you know? Punicalagin is the main ingredient present in pomegranate peel, which is a very rich source of antioxidants. Pomegranate peel also reported for wound healing activity. All these Antioxidant and healing activities make the pomegranate a good ingredient for skin repair and healing especially after stress caused by exertion.
